We've succeeded! The Jade Bistro Asian Cuisine and Sushi has become College Park's favorite Asian eatery! Our staff would like to take this time to say "thank you" to our regulars and "welcome" to our first time guests. Some may be curious as to what exactly is The Jade Bistro? To answer that question, you need to know a little about our history.
Our advantage is experience -- and our concept is substance:
Owners Agnes and Joseph Duen possess over 60 years of hospitality and restaurant experience combined. Agnes's roots are over 2 decades deep originating from China and then on to New York where she created and ran one of Brooklyn's most successful neighborhood Chinese "take out joints" which can still be found today on the corner of Ave U and W. 5th st. After moving to Orlando, she brought that same taste and quality to Longwood's Sweetwater Oaks neighborhood in the form of another successful Asian eatery that is currently still doing business as well. Agnes knows Asian cuisine.
On the other side of the coin, Joseph Duen knows hospitality and fine cuisine. He's appeared on television as a food and beverage consultant in Hong Kong and New York. His Experience stems from world class hotels and fine dining establishments. Just to mention a few, Joe was the Executive Food and Beverage training manager for the Mandarin Hotel in Hong Kong until he immigrated to New York where he acquired another 10 years of experience with The Four Seasons in the Seagram Building.
Creating something new -- yet honoring the traditional
So what is a couple to do when they have a love for food and so much expertise? They create something different. A style they could call their own at a location they could call-- "Home." They wanted to offer College Park something that surpasses the boundaries of the traditional, is reasonably priced, and yet sill whispers, "fine dining" in your ear. Their dream is to give you some of the highest quality cuisine found anywhere at a price that you would normally expect to pay for "chain food." That is why The Jade Bistro was created. It is predominately Chinese, a dab of Thai, a taste of Japan, and a hint of western influences. In addition, we constantly strive for our sushi to be the freshest AND the highest grade in town. We have a "no holds bar" approach to our menu creations and we take pride in the fact that any one of our dishes may very well become your all time "favorite." Our goal is straighforward-- It is to continue to be one of Orlando dining's top hidden gems and more importantly-- College Park's favorite Asian eatery.
